Saturday is market day in historic downtown St. Cloud

By Chris Falkowski, Managing Editor

After opening in November of 2007, the St. Cloud Main Street Farmer’s Market continues to offer fresh produce and other products at affordable prices on Saturday mornings starting at 8:00 AM until Noon, except during inclement weather.  Located at the corner of Pennsylvania Avenue and 10th Street, in Centennial Park, the Farmer’s Market is becoming a tradition with locals and an appealing experience for visitors.

Operated by the non-profit organization, St. Cloud Main Street, Inc., the project is an essential part of the rebirth of the historic business district and surrounding neighborhoods.  Several vendors at the Farmer’s Market are local business owners, while other vendors participate simply because the successful event draws shoppers to the district.

“We are pleased to be able to offer the community such a wonderful weekly event and will continue to host the market at Centennial Park for years to come,” said Main Street program manager Olivia Rowland.

“If the public is interested in vending products such as crafts, baked goods, plants, or produce at the market, we would happy to provide them with answers to any and all of their questions,” she continued.  For more information about the St. Cloud Main Street Farmer’s Market, call 407-498-0008 or visit www.stcloudmainstreet.org.
