Annual event restocks food pantry shelves at Council on Aging
Feed Osceola is back on our shopping list. The annual program restocks the food pantries located throughout the Osceola community by donating shelf staple items to the Osceola Council on Aging for distribution to local low income residents. Businesses, corporations, home owners associations as well as individuals or school classrooms can participate in Feed Osceola by registering and collecting shelf staple items such as canned vegetables, canned meat, pasta and other non perishable food during the month long program. To meet that goal the Council is officially starting Feed Osceola on Wednesday, August 25 and declaring Friday, September 24 as Osceola’s Day of Caring when ‘Feed Osceola’ concludes.
