Released By Osceola County Sheriff’s Office
On July 23, 2019, the Osceola County Sheriff’s Office received a report of an armed robbery which occurred in the area of W. Irlo Bronson Memorial Highway and Siesta Lago Drive in Kissimmee, Florida. The victim advised they met with Angelique Lopez and made arrangements to purchase narcotics. Angelique along with Kareem Acevedo met with the victim. Kareem produced a handgun and both Kareem and Angelique forced the victim to drive to an ATM machine to withdraw cash.
During the incident Kareem discharged the firearm inside of the victim’s vehicle. Detectives were able to arrest Angelique Lopez and Kareem Acevedo, at the time of Kareem’s arrest he was in possession of a firearm and stolen property belonging to the victim. Both Kareem and Angelique cooperated with detectives in the investigation.
Angelique Lopez is charged with Armed Robbery with a firearm, Kidnapping, and Grand Theft. Kareem Acevedo is charged with Carrying a Concealed Firearm, Armed Robbery with a Firearm, Kidnapping, Grand Theft, and Discharging a Firearm. Kareem also had an active warrant out of Polk County for Armed Burglary.
