On April 16, 2019, detectives were investigating an Armed Robbery at the Econo Lodge located at 2934 Polynesian Isle Blvd. During the course of the investigation detectives were able to identify Asante McGee, D.O.B. 5/5/97 as the suspect in the case and were able to obtain a warrant for his arrest for Robbery with a weapon, Grand Theft, and Aggravated Assault with a weapon. On April 22, 2019, the Osceola County Sheriff’s Office conducted a zero tolerance operation where deputies were able to spot McGee at a bus stop in the area of 192 and Old Vineland road; however, when McGee noticed deputies he decided to run from deputies where he was ultimately placed into custody.
