Blue Knights Present Wooden Flags to Kissimmee Police Department

Released By Blue Knights Law Enforcement Motorcycle Club

Blue Knights Law Enforcement Motorcycle Club, in memory of fallen officers Sgt. Sam Howard and Ofr. Matt Baxter, commissioned a local artist Christine Hickey to produce two wooden American flags bearing their badge numbers and end of watch date. Christine has close ties with Law Enforcement as her father served with the NYPD at ground zero in the aftermath of the 9/11 attacks.

Chapter President Bob ‘Tabo’ Tabaczynski, presented Chief Jeffrey O’Dell with the flags at a brief ceremony attended by several other Blue Knights and KPD’s senior management staff.

“We felt the need to reinforce the knowledge that you have the trust and support of the community you serve, and that those who paid the ultimate price for our safety will never be forgotten.”

Chief O’Dell in receiving the flags said “We have a perfect place for these with other memorabilia at our new indoor range currently under construction”

The Blue Knights FL Chapter XXIX are the organizers of the annual Police Escorted Osceola Law Ride, now entering it’s 7th year. The 2019 date of this widely supported motorcycle event is Saturday February 23, and is taking place from 8:30 at Orlando Harley-Davidson South on West Hwy 192. All motorcyclists are invited to join the 70+ mile ride, 100% of the proceeds of which benefit Osceola LEO’s lost or seriously injured in the line of duty.
