Released By Osceola County Sheriff’s Office
Over the past few weeks, detectives have been investigating multiple business burglaries in the area of the North Orange Blossom Trail and East Irlo Bronson Memorial Highway in Kissimmee.
Within a 5 day period there had been 3 business burglaries. At approximately 2:00am on 7/18/19, a fourth business burglary occurred in the same area. Video obtained from this burglary showed the same suspect which had been identified from the prior three business burglaries. The suspect’s vehicle was also identified but not yet located. At approximately 3:30am, the suspect’s vehicle was located at a motel on Vine Street in Kissimmee. Detectives continued to investigate and made contact with the suspects who were identified as Luis Lopez-Vazquez, DOB 6/23/77 and Malvin Baez-Ruiz, DOB 3/8/81.
Interviews were conducted with the suspects and confessions were ultimately obtained for all four burglaries. A search warrant was obtained for the hotel room and the suspect’s vehicle. Stolen property and clothing worn during the burglaries were recovered and entered into evidence.
