City of Kissimmee’s Aquatic Center Ranks Among Top 10% for Safety

The City of Kissimmee Parks & Recreation Department was awarded the 2018 Platinum International Safety Award on Thursday, October 11 for achieving the highest quality of lifeguard professionalism and operational standards through the participation in the Ellis and Associates Comprehensive Aquatic Risk Management Program.

This prestigious award demonstrates that the Bob Makinson Aquatic Center has exceeded industry standards in risk management and aquatic safety excellence. The International Aquatic Safety Awards are presented annually and only to E&A’s most elite clients. This recognition is presented in three levels – Silver, Gold, and Platinum – only the top 10% of E&A clients in the world receive a Platinum International Aquatic Safety Award each year.

“The City’s Parks & Recreation Department is proud of the Aquatic Team for their outstanding training, commitment to excellence, proactive attitude and skills to keep our customers safe while enjoying the pool,” said Elizabeth Harris, Parks & Recreation Director.
