City of Kissimmee’s Parks and Recreation to Offer Kiddie Korner Program as well as Youth Dance Classes

The City of Kissimmee’s Park and Recreation Department is now accepting registrations for their Kiddie Korner program. 

Through Kiddie Korner, participants will have a chance to interact with other children their age. Kiddie Korner is a “learning through play” environment which includes games, crafts, music, singing, occasional field trips, parties, among other activities. 

A birth certificate is required at the time of registration. Participants must be between the ages of 3 and 5 and must be potty trained before their first day. 

The Kiddie Korner program, instructed by Joanne Pietri, will be offered Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the Oak Street Park Community Center. Cost is $100 per session with a $25 registration fee, use code 110101.

No classes will be offered on the following days:

· November 11, 2019

· November 28, 2019

· November 29, 2019

· December 24, 2019

· December 25, 2019

· January 1, 2020

· January 20, 2020

This program runs now through May 2020. Participants can register at the Oak Street Park Community Center located at 717 N. Palm Avenue.

The City of Kissimmee’s Park and Recreation Department is also now accepting registrations for ballet/tap and hip-hop classes.

Students will have an opportunity to register for an introduction to formal ballet structure class or learn the style of hip hop through high energy movements. 

The last day to register for both classes is on Tuesday, September 3, 2019.

The Formal Ballet/Tap Classes, instructed by Kendra Marshall, will be held through December 17 at the Oak Street Park Community Center on Tuesdays from 6:00 p.m. to 6:50 p.m. These classes are for ages 5-16, younger or older with instructor approval. Cost is $35 a month with a registration fee of $10 or if paid-in-full, the cost is $119, however it must be paid by the 2nd class, use code 120114.

The Hip-Hop Classes, also instructed by Kendra Marshall, will be held through December 17 at the Oak Street Park Community Center on Tuesdays from 7:00 p.m. to 7:50 p.m. These classes are for ages 5-16 years old, younger or older with instructor approval. Cost is $35 a month with a registration fee of $10 or if paid-in-full, the cost is $119, however it must be paid by the 2nd class, use code 120114.
