City of St. Cloud Public Services staff will offer a Green Building Made Simple workshop May 10, 1-3 p.m., at City Hall, Bldg. A, 3rd level, in Council Chambers. This workshop is free and open to the public.
“Our municipality was first designated a certified Florida Green Local Government by Florida Green Building Coalition in 2011 and we are proud to have maintained sustainable building, development and business practices,” said Public Services Operations Director Chris Fasnacht. “As we continue to move forward in our green efforts, we are proud to provide this workshop to individual citizens, developers and contractors to help them learn how homes can be designed to use less energy and water.”
The Green Building Made Simple workshop will offer guidelines to help attendees explore the rewards of becoming water efficient and learn the principles and techniques that help contribute to improved air quality. Topics will include green construction practices, indoor air quality, resource efficiency and material selections.
