City of Kissimmee Offering Camp Discovery Holiday Camp


The City of Kissimmee Parks & Recreation Department is offering a two-week Camp Discovery Holiday Camp for children in kindergarten through the 5thgrade.

Week one begins on Wednesday, December 26 and ends on Monday, December 31. Week two begins on Wednesday, January 2 and ends on Monday, January 7. Camp Discovery is closed on both Saturday and Sunday during each camp week.

Participants will meet at the Berlinsky Community House (300 E. Monument Avenue) for eight days of fun activities and field trips, which include visits to:

  • December 27 – Regal Cinemas: Mary Poppins
  • December 28 – Orlando Science Center
  • January 2 – Abracadabra Ice Cream Factory
  • January 4 – Astro Skate
  • January 7 – Crayola Experience

The fees are as follows:

  • Week One:December 26, 27, 28 & 31 – $85/week*please note: camp will close at 5pm on 12/31*
  • Week Two:January 2, 3, 4 & 7 – $85/week

Fees include admission to field trips, transportation as well as supervision from 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Campers must bring a packed lunch/snacks each day.

The deadline for registration is Wednesday, December 19; registrations taken after this date are subject to availability and will be charged a $10 late fee. Registration is available at the Oak Street Park Community Center (717 N. Palm Ave.) or online at www.kissimmeeparks.org. An information packet as well as a waiver for Abracadabra must be completed and on file before first day of camp.
