May 17 – Crafty Ladies  The Crafty Ladies meet at the St. Cloud Community/Senior Center Wednesdays from 1 to 4 p.m. The cost is $1 a week. The group knits and crochets lap rugs for veterans. Donations of clean, unused yarn are needed. Call 407-288-3069.

 

May 17 – The Let’s Dance Ballroom Club  The Let’s Dance Ballroom Club meets every Wednesday at the St. Cloud Community Center, located at 3101 17th Street, St. Cloud. Our next class will be the Bolero. The class will run for 5 weeks. We will meet on May 3, 10, 17, 24, and 31st. Cost for the course is $20. Class meets from 7 to 9 p.m.  Please come early the first night to register for class. For additional information, call Sheila Lauer at 407-738-7546.

 

May 20 – Country Dance  Saturday nights there is a country dance at the St. Cloud Community Center. 3101 17th St., St. Cloud, from 7 to 10 p.m. There is a $5 donation asked.  There will be live bands until to April. Music between April and October will be provided by a DJ and any donation is appreciated. May 23 -The Canasta Club  Do you like to play cards? The Canasta Club meets at the St. Cloud Senior Center, located at 3101 17th Street, St. Cloud, each month on the 2nd and 4th Tuesday. The time is 1:00 to 4:30 pm. For more information, please call Laura Bowerman at 321-895-5201.

 

May 23 – Food Addicts in Recovery Meetings  Meetings are held Tuesdays at 7pm  Are you having trouble controlling the way you eat? Food Addicts in Recovery Anonymous is a free 12 step recovery program for anyone suffering from food obsession, overeating, under-eating or bulimia. Meetings are held Tuesdays at 7pm, Florida Hospital Kissimmee, Creation Mtg. Rm., 2450 N. Orange. May 23 – AARP Driver Safety  A Driver Safety Class, Smart Driver, will be held on Tuesday, May 23, 2017 from 9 am  – 4 pm, at the Saint Cloud Police Department, 4700 Neptune Road, Saint Cloud Florida, 34769.  The AARP Driver Safety Program’s Smart Driver Course helps participants refine driving skills and develop safe driving habits. Upon completion of the course, Florida Drivers 55 or older may be eligible for vehicle insurance discounts. Registration required, call 407-593-1957. $ 15.00 AARP Members, $ 20.00 for nonmembers.

 

June 2 – Envision St. Cloud Walking Tour  Join Envision St. Cloud for a walking tour in Downtown St. Cloud.  Meet in front of City Hall at 5:30 pm. Event is scheduled from 5:30 pm – 7:30 pm

 

June 3 – Envision St. Cloud Walking Tour  Join Envision St. Cloud for a walking tour at Lakefront.  Meet in front of Crabby Bill’s at 9 am. Event is scheduled for the public to give input about the future of St. Cloud.

 

June 6 – The Florida Sandhill Crane Preservation Society  Meets all year on the 1st Tuesday from 3:00-5:00pm in the Cypress Rm (Hall B) at the St. Cloud Community Center, located at 3101 17th Street, St. Cloud. For more information call Jeanie Donohue 407-738-7001.

 

The American Legion Post 80 Events  The American Legion Post 80, St. Cloud is open for the following events:

Mondays: ‘Bingo’ at 6 pm in the smoke-free Civic Hall.  Grill Menu is available from the kitchen.

Wednesdays:  Dinner Special 5-7 pm.

Thursdays:  Grill Menu 5-7 pm.  $1 Drafts all day.  ‘Trivia Game’ 8 pm.

Fridays:  Dinner Special 5-7pm.  ‘Karaoke’ at 7pm.

Saturdays:  1st Saturday at 7pm  ‘Road Kill Bingo’.  On the 3rd Sat. 7pm ‘Show Me The Money’.

Sundays: $5.00 Breakfast cooked to order 8-11 am. The Public is Welcome; Bar Bingo 2-4 pm.

Post 80 opens at 10 am Monday thru Saturday and at 8 am on Sundays.   Our large Civic Hall is available for rental for any event. The Civic Hall seats 150 people.
