Discovery School of St. Cloud is excited to announce  an addition of a new agriculture program to its already existing VPK program.

Adding this new program offers the children a chance to learn where their food comes from by using the farm-to-plate concept, the school has added to that concept by adding “donate” to it. The school will donate the fruits and vegetables they grow to VA homeless shelters in the area. The school feels it is important for the children to learn about giving back to the community around them.

Discovery School of St. Cloud is dedicated to offering a family style education for the families they serve. The school prides itself on the many family gatherings and in-class experiences it offers throughout the school year.

The Thanksgiving Feast, where families gather together and share a small program from the children and share a meal fit for a king after, is just one of the several events offered.

Another event offered is when parents are invited into the class to join the winter party of the Polar Express, fun is had by all who attend. The school does a promotion of literacy with a book bingo, where the children win free books!

Additionally, to celebrate the diverse cultures the school hosts an international potluck meal for all of the families. Families are asked to bring their favorite family recipes to share with everyone! It is a wonderful way for parents to get to know one another and to try some amazing dishes from around the world.

As you can see, family is considered the key to providing a well-rounded education for young children at Discovery School of St. Cloud.

If you are looking for a school that treats you like family, look no further than Discovery School of St. Cloud, they still have a few openings for VPK and extended day.
