Experience A Weekend of St. Cloud History

Ever wondered why St. Cloud is called Soldier City? Ever hear about the cattle drives down Lakeshore Boulevard? Did you know that the train tracks ran along Neptune Road?

Save the dates the weekend of January 18 through the 20 to immerse yourself in learning about St. Cloud. The Woman’s Club of St. Cloud Heritage Museum is bringing an “If This House Could Talk” tour, an expanded program to our community.

Enjoy a bus tour around St. Cloud and hear about the homes that Union Veterans built. Pre-register for the Historic House Tour, “If This House Could Talk, tickets are $15.00 per person. Special historic displays will be offered at the St. Cloud Heritage Museum, as well as refreshments after each tour. Videos of Osceola County culture will also be available.

Afterwards take a free, self guided Distrix Mural and Historic Marker Tour at your leisure, while  exploring the unique shops and southern specialties in downtown restaurants.

Interested in spending the night? Offers are available at The Budget Inn and Hunter Arms Hotel for registering for the “If This House Could Talk” tour.

Contact Olive Horning, ohorning@aol.com or 407-414-2682 to make tour reservations.
