Grand Theft Investigation

Released By Osceola County Sheriff’s Office

In October, 2018, The Osceola County Sheriff’s Office began to receive an increase in purse thefts in the West 192 area. The majority of the cases were being reported out of Ross Clothing Stores and Marshalls. These cases were assigned to members with the Osceola County Sheriff’s Office Tourism Policing Unit (TPU). Surveillance video from these stores depicted two black females following victims around the stores until they left their purses unattended for even a brief moment. The suspects would immediately use any credit cards procured, during the offense, to purchase Visa gift cards. Through investigative leads, the detectives were able to identify the two suspects as Tyqueria Lashon Rivers (10/04/95) and Classie Deisary Green (10/07/86). On January 4, 2019, Detective’s with the Osceola County West Property Crimes Unit and TPU served an arrest and search warrant on Rivers, at her home (4534 Silver Star Road, Orlando, Florida). The executed search warrant yielded items belonging to victims, property purchased with fraudulent credit cards and over 200 gift cards with a face value of over $30,000. Rivers was charged with Grand Theft, Possession of Stolen Credit Cards and Criminal Use of Personal Identification. On January 09, 2019, Green was arrested for Grand Theft X3 and Criminal Use of Personal Identification and booked into the Orange County Jail. This investigation is continuing in an attempt to locate more victims and potentially more suspects.
