Eight finalists to interview

After St. Cloud Police Chief Darryl Holliday retired, the City of St. Cloud began an intensive search for a replacement.  The salary range for the Police Chief position is from $69,525 to $125,145 per year. 

 

“Immediately after Chief Holliday’s retirement announcement, we started working diligently on the selection of the next police chief,” said City Manager Tom Hurt. “The city’s police chief oversees the day-to-day operations of the department and also serves as chief counsel to the City in matters of public safety.”

Ms. Beverly Brizendine, Chairperson, Rotary Spring Fling Arts and Crafts Committee has announced that this very popular and well-attended show will be held again this year as one of the Spring Fling major attractions.  The show will be held on Saturday and Sunday, March 27 and 28, along the shore of East Lake Tohopekaliga in St. Cloud.

 

“Thousands of people attend the annual Rotary Club Spring Fling to enjoy a variety of fun filled attractions over the weekend. It is an excellent opportunity for non-profit organizations, professional or commercial organizations to show their crafts, products and services to people who are enjoying the weekend in a relaxed and leisurely fashion. There is adequate space at the lakefront to make a great Arts and Craft Show,” Ms. Brizendine said.

Five Finalists Named For 2011 "Teacher of the Year" PDF Print E-mail

The field of 53 individuals named as school-based "Teachers of the Year", in honor of excellence in their profession, has been narrowed down to the top five finalists.  The name of one of these individuals will be revealed as Osceola County's 2011 "Teacher of the Year" at a ceremony hosted by the Education Foundation - Osceola on Friday, March 26, 2010, at the Gaylord Palms Resort and Convention Center.

 

The following educators have been named as finalists:

Christina DeAmicis, Language Arts teacher at St. Cloud High School
