Bobby “Shoat” Monts de Oca, Jr., an Osceola County Rancher, has joined the agriculture and land division of Crosby and Associates, Inc.’s St. Cloud office. Shoat grew up in Okeechobee County, but has spent most of his life at his family’s Kenansville cattle ranch located directly adjacent to Osceola’s environmental and agricultural tourism attraction, Forever Florida. He hails from a family that began their cattle operations across Central Florida in the early 1800’s and continues the business that makes this state one of the top cattle producers in the nation today. A member of the Professional Rodeo Cowboy’s Association, he has worked with this nation’s top cowboys, stock contractors and rodeo sports’ arenas. He may humbly refer to himself as a good ranch hand, but his valuable expertise and counsel is a commodity that he freely shares when asked.
Shoat’s experience in ranching, from commercial cow/calf operations to stock contracting to equestrian sports and breeding, will help his clients to understand the potential of properties they own and are considering for purchase. “We are excited to add Shoat to our team of real estate professionals. We strive to offer long standing relationships with our clients that they can trust and count on year after year, whether they are making a lifetime transaction or one of many investments. His expertise will help maximize our agricultural land marketing and our ability to assist land owners and land buyers from a unique perspective” stated Carol K. Platt, CRB Broker Associate, Crosby and Associates, Inc., St. Cloud, FL.
