The Tampa Bay Rays Baseball Team has invited the Sons of Union Veterans of the Civil War Lucius L. Mitchell Camp No. 4, of St. Cloud, to present the National Colors during the National Anthem ceremonies on Sunday, July 21, 2019 at Tropicana Field in St. Petersburg.

The Mitchell Camp of the Sons of Union Veterans Camp Honor Guard is comprised solely of Camp Members.  They appear on request at Central Florida events in Union Army uniforms and  equipment as those worn by their Union Army ancestors during the 1861-1865 conflict.

The Honor Guard Members for this event are Camp Cmdr. Mike Urell, Senior Vice Cmdr. Tim Iliff, Camp Secretary Nic Mihora, Camp Member Steve Strobel, and Camp Member Wesley Sainz.

The selection of the Mitchell Camp No. 4 was made over submissions by many other qualified Honor Guard candidates. The Camp considers it a great honor to present the National Colors on behalf of the Men and Women who sacrificed to preserve the Union and equality for all.
