Hospital staff at Poinciana Medical Center teamed up with the Osceola County Sheriff’s Department to host “Crush the Crisis” Opioid Take Back Day at Poinciana Medical Center on September 7.

The event took place to help raise awareness about the growing opioid epidemic, and provide a safe place for people to dispose of their unused medications. In total, 28 pounds of opioids were collected at the event.
