Rayzor’s Edge Relay for Life 10th Annual Music & Bike Festival

Submitted By Traudi Rayzor

The Rayzor’s Edge Relay for Life Team is putting on the 10th Annual Music and Bike Festival, on February 24 from 10:00am to 6:00pm.

It all began when I, Traudi Rayzor, became a Breast Cancer survivor. In years past we only participated in the Relay, now we are doing this event for our team. We were originally hosting Poker Runs through the motorcycle club, it has now grown to include 3 stages.

This event helps in bringing awareness to the community about Relay for Life. There will be Star Wars paratroopers who have been to the event before and are great volunteers by bringing joy to all. We are also having a car and bike show with trophies. The live entertainment will have something for everyone and includes Jason Wright, Slickwood, David Logan, Doctor X, Stix & Co., Shannon Elkins, D.V.8, Plum Crazy, Temptation, Trainwreck, Michael Price, Kenyon Lockry and a special guest appearance by Christian Cuevas from The Voice. Guests can bring in 3 can goods to receive a raffle ticket; can goods go to the St. Cloud Community Pantry.

Many people help by volunteering for this event. Our music contractor, Terry Deskins, makes sure the stages are ready along with putting the schedule together for the bands, who also give their talent to this event. John Metzner and Steve Joy help with booth vendors and sponsorships, as well as putting up and bringing down the signs. Dorothy and Larry Hurley and Diane Wilson help with the drinks along with gifts for raffles. Jerry Rayzor also helps with set-up.

Proceeds from the event go directly to the American Cancer Society and Relay for Life. Without the great help from the community, this event would not start or finish without problems. Thanks to the City of St. Cloud for their help with fees and County Commissioner Fred Hawkins Jr. with the County stage.
