Business Spotlight

The St. Cloud Regional Medical Center had been looking for a pain management physician starting in 2016 due to the dire need for expert pain care both in the hospital and in the community.  There was no full-time pain management physician in St. Cloud for many years. As a result, residents of St. Cloud needing pain care were travelling over an hour or waiting over 6 weeks to see pain physicians in Kissimmee and Orlando. During the time the hospital was actively searching for a pain physician, Dr. Song was also looking to start his own practice with a vision to provide cutting edge pain care delivered with compassion and empathy. Dr. Song said, “It was literally a right time – right place moment.” So, with the full support of the hospital, he officially opened his doors and started seeing patient on March 13, 2017.

Dr. Song is the founder and medical director of Palm Tree Interventional Pain Management.   With his unique background in extensive research and clinical treatment, he brings a fresh and invigorating opportunity to those seeking to eliminate pain.  He is a physician who draws from a variety of disciplines to best treat/help his patients.  With an impeccable record and training from distinguished, world-renowned programs, it is his mission to treat his patients with compassion and empathy.   “My daily decisions, with regards to patient care, are guided by considering the type of care I would want for my mom when she is in pain.”

Dr. Song has maintained his commitment to education, attending numerous lectures, classes, and conferences on the practice of pain management and emerging technology and treatments.  He has authored countless medical articles and book chapters on spinal disorders and pain management. He is an Assistant Professor at the University of Central Florida College of Medicine and is on staff at the St. Cloud Regional Medical Center.

Dr. Song wasted no time and is an active member of the St. Cloud Chamber of Commerce, active supporter of Osceola County Fraternal Order of Police and active supporter of local businesses.

Dr. Song has been happily married approaching 9 years and has 5-year-old son. Currently they are renting in Orlando, but will be looking to buy a home in St. Cloud in the very near future.

Dr. Song accepts most insurance and can see patients the same day if needed.

Palm Tree Interventional Pain Management is located at 2029 Hickory Tree Rd, St. Cloud, FL 34772.
