Threats to Public Servant and Aggravated Assault Arrest

On February 20, 2019, Osceola County Sheriff’s deputies responded to the Osceola County Tax Collector’s Office located at 2501 E. Irlo Bronson Memorial Hwy in Kissimmee in reference to trespassing an individual. In their investigation, deputies learned that Shawn Foster Sample DOB 5/17/82, requested to speak to a supervisor while at the Tax Collector’s Office. Sample told the clerk who was assisting him, “I have a gun in my back pack, so you’re gonna help me! Time is ticking… Tick tock.” As Sample made this threat, he began moving his backpack as if he was going to remove an item from within it, placing the clerk in fear for her life. During the investigation, Sample admitted to making the threats but no gun was located on him. Sample was arrested and booked into the Osceola County Jail for; Threats to a Public Servant and Aggravated Assault.
