 3 Registered Felons Arrested for Involvement in Mail Theft

On January 5 at approximately 6:45 a.m., Osceola County Sheriff's deputies responded to the area of Celebration Boulevard and Celebration Avenue in reference to possible mail theft. Upon arrival, deputies spoke with a witness who indicated he observed an unknown male break into some mailboxes and remove the mail inside. The unknown male, later identified as Ray Prescott left the area in a vehicle driven by Christopher Miller.

Deputies were able to locate the vehicle traveling near Celebration Avenue near the 417 ramp and a traffic stop was conducted. During the traffic stop, deputies observed in plain view in the back seat, numerous letters and packages that were identified with Celebration addresses. Deputies also located illegal drugs on both Prescott and Miller. A check revealed Miller was on probation from another jurisdiction.

The investigation also revealed another suspect, Dana Flores, was involved in the mail theft. She was located at a nearby hotel and charged with two counts of Possession of a Controlled Substance without a Prescription and Possession of Marijuana Under 20 Grams. Miller was charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance without a Prescription, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and Resisting Arrest without Violence. Prescott was charged with Dealing in Stolen Property, Possession of Burglary Tools, Loitering and Prowling and Criminal Mischief. All three registered felons were booked into the Osceola County Jail.

 

2 Registered Felons Arrested for Attempted Burglary at Kangaroo Store in St. Cloud

On January 8 at approximately 3:09 a.m., Osceola County Sheriff's patrol deputies were in the area of Narcoossee Road and East Highway 192 when they observed an unknown male, later identified as Terrence Jerome Blaine, attempt to break into the Kangaroo Convenience Store located at 4899 E. Irlo Bronson Memorial Highway in St. Cloud. Blaine threw concrete blocks at the store which shattered the glass door, but when he saw deputies approach the business, Blaine fled the area in a vehicle driven by Debra Ann Johnson.

The suspects drove northbound on Narcoossee Road in the southbound lanes. They eventually turned off Narcoossee Road and onto several smaller streets. Johnson struck a mailbox before crashing the vehicle into a tree. Terrence Blaine attempted to flee the area, but was located by deputies. Blaine and Johnson were taken into custody.

After further investigation, deputies discovered Terrence Blaine was on probation for an out-of-state Negligent Homicide Involving a Vehicle charge. Terrence Blaine was charged with Violation of Probation, Attempted Unoccupied Burglary, Resisting Arrest Without Violence, Criminal Mischief and Possession of Burglary Tools. Debra Johnson was charged with Attempted Unoccupied Burglary, Fleeing and Eluding Law Enforcement and Resisting Arrest without Violence. They were booked into the Osceola County Jail.
